Lahr is a city in western Baden-Württemberg, Germany, approximately 50 km north of Freiburg im Breisgau, 40 km south east of Strasbourg, and 95 km south west of Karlsruhe. It is the second largest city in Ortenau (district) after Offenburg, and serves as an intermediate economic centre for the cities and towns of Ettenheim, Friesenheim, Kappel-Grafenhausen, Kippenheim, Mahlberg, Meißenheim, Ringsheim, Rust, Schuttertal, Schwanau and Seelbach.

What a well restored piece of the protective wall around the ancient city of Lahr from days long gone. I have it on good authority - I was with the Mayor of Lahr - that other remnants of this wall have been found in other parts of the city too but this is clearly the main landmark.

Troisième visite pour nous dans ce sympathique et discret golf de Forêt-Noire, on aime !
Niché au fond d'un verdoyant vallon dont il occupe les deux flancs avant de fini à plat pour les derniers trous, il a quelque chose d'un peu caché, d'un peu secret...
Voiturette électrique conseillée...
Dévers, trous en descente, en montée, avec une mire...les situations de jeu sont variées.
De belles vues tout au long du parcours, un restaurant italien de qualité dans le club-house (excepté le lundi), un accueil sympathique...ce club a tout pour plaire.

Die Stadt Lahr bietet zahlreiche Stadtführungen an, die z.T. auch themenbezogen sind, v.a. während der mittlerweile weithin bekannten "Chrysanthema", dieser fantastischen jährlichen Blütenschau mit kulturellem Rahmenprogramm Ende Oktober bis in den November hinein. Da gibt es spezielle Führungen, die Führer sind als Chrysanthemen "verkleidet" und man kann in verschiedenen Sprachen Führungen buchen, Englisch, Französisch, Russisch, vielleicht noch mehr, auch in "Lohrer Ditsch", der lokalen Mundart. Die Führer machen einen guten Job und wissen beeindruckend viel; eine Führungist immer ein Gewinn.

Einfach tolles Cafe mit Heizung draußen damit man auch im Winter draußen sitzen kann und die Welt vorbei gehen sehen. Die Kuchen sehen einfach lecker aus leider bin ich Gluten intolerant und kann die nicht essen. Die Schoki ist auch sehr schön heiß was man auch nicht überall bekommt.

The "Herr Lehmann Cigarren-Manufaktur" was founded in 1924 and manufactures handmade cigars in a traditional way. Our little "jewel" is the last of originally approx. 300 factories and our goal is to continue this heritage. The tobacco is a very old cultivar and exclusively bred for us - only 10km away. Our production and store are located in the heart of Lahr/Schwarzwald, guests are welcome.

Eine kleine, helle, klar gegliederte Kirche oberhalb des Ortes, mit einer erstaunlich großen Orgel und - wenn man genauer hinschaut - einigen prachtvollen Ausschmückungen, dabei aber nicht überladen.
So stellt man sich eine Kirche für eine kurze, private Andacht vor.
