We took the private tour which allowed for some access to otherwise restricted areas. Also our guide had beer for us and meat to feed the animals which were literally climbing on our vehicle. Definitely worth it even if it was quite more expensive than a standard tour.

Ama Zwing Zwing Zipline Tour

Although fairly pricey, (R400 per person) its a great adventure. The tour consists of seven different Zip Lines stretching over one km long. The two guides were fantastic, with a great sense of humour and very professional. There are two cables for every Zipline and so safety standards are of the highest order. A R50 voucher is also given at the end of the tour to put towards drinks, meals etc at Amazingwe Lodge, on whose premises the business operates from. There is also game in the grounds with waterbuck, Springbok and zebra roaming around. Altogether a great experience!

We went river rafting in the morning, which was great fun. I was surprised at how easy it was. Beautiful river and really nice guides. Abseiling is also available although we didn't do it, but hope to on next visit.

This senic route offers much to the nature lover on foot. Challenging enough to maintain fitness, yet beautiful enough to value the peace and quit only the sound of birds and a river can bring. As an added bonus, the Preller family history is well worth the effort.

Eagle Waters Wildlife Resort

Prior to posting the review about the camping weekend gone wrong in November 2015, the lodge was also contacted to indicate my intention to do such. The Manager then contacted me after receipt of the e-mail and apologised, mentioning that its under recontructionand will be up to date arounf March /April in 2016. She reimbursed money paid and committed to offering us a free weekend around the school holidays in 2016.
I contacted the lodge towards end of March, a week before the schools were reopening to ask if we can come. I was met with hostility and deliberately avoided for about a week. I was told that i should have booked earlier. The matter was escalated to the Operations manager and it now appeared that the offer was no longer available. I was told it was fully booked and that the offer was valid for three months from the date of offer so as a results it has expired. It was still within the period of the school holidays and unfortunately no one communicated the expriy issue to me. I was told it was a new rule that came into effect in January 2016. This was just a way of getting rid of me, Why did this issue only surface now. for good customer service, this should have been handled differently. They were supposed to have a record of to alert us of offer us weekends that are not booked rather than telling at the last minute the offer has expired. The nice attitude displayed in the beginning when apologies were due, turned out to be negative. The fact that a 3rd person was now all of a sudden introduced to our deal, made things seem difficult. I am not happy as the lodge failed to keep to their promise. They were not coerced by any party into making us an offer for free weekend, it was done willingly. I am very disappointed and feel betrayed especially because the rest of the group was looking forward to it. It was like now, I was just bluffing, nothing of the sort existed.
