Some places are faux-cool. Flanigan's is just cool all on its own. Neat little Texas spot-in-the-road town (spot-on- the- old- railroad town). Great old building with a very eclectic history. Visiting just to see the old movie set is worth the stop. Very interesting Irish heritage whiskey. Discover potcheen (Poitín) if you've never. Swap lies with the proprietor (a very Irish tradition). Listen to some great music, if you should be so lucky (a great troubadour, of the Irish persuasion, just happened to be there the day we were. What's not to enjoy?
