This Peat-Bog was formed on top of a former crater lake, offering an almost outlandish landscape, and harboring a handful of very interesting plants. Access is covered by the parking fee at the entrance and includes a guided tour, which starts every hour at .15 min. Once here, one should also visit its smaller twin, the neighboring St.-Ana crater lake.

I have long wanted to reach St. Anne's Lake. A place of special beauty, the only volcanic lake in Romania, located near the resort Tusnad. The shape of the lake resembles the palette of a painter, and the water of the lake is of a very high purity, close to distilled water.
