Petani Beach

Beautiful beach with white pebbles & clear water

There s a real debate whether this is better than Myrtos beach...I surely enjoyed it better. Wide enough, there is space for everyone. It has several areas with sunbeds, 2 taverns and a coffee bar, water sports for rental. We had lunch at tavern ksouras (something like that) and it was one of the best meals we had during our stay This beach has small white pebbles which makes water shoes needed. It s great for snorkeling, with clear water and has a very good vibe...really relaxing.

We had driven from Argostoli to Lixouri several times on visits to Kefalonia. Lixouri has some great harbour front restaurants that we often stopped at for coffee or lunch. This time we decided that the ferry trip would add a different aspect to the holiday but knew that aside from the restaurants there would not be much to occupy us in Lixouri. The simple answer was to take the 9.45 ferry (they run every 30 minutes and cost less than 6 Euros for two people each way) have breakfast on Lixouri quayside and return an hour later. Great views from the very clean ferry, excellent breakfast and back by 11.15 for shopping in Argostoli. Great morning.

Lepeda Beach

A family beach very good for kids due to the shallow water and natural pools behind the rocks formations. There are a few sunbeds and umbrellas. The parking space is limited. In the afternoon there are enough natural shade. The beach is unattractive for snorkeling.
