Seeing the sunrise kissing the peak of the mountain is a must if you can bear the pain of getting up early at 4 AM to be able to reach the tiger point to catch a glimpse of the sunray bursting out over horizon setting the peak literally on fire with all visitors across furiously clicking to capture the savoury moment for posterity . Tiger hill is famous for sunrise view, as on your right hand side there is sunrise hue is coming up in sky and its first rays touches Kachenjunga mountain on your left side gives you different shades. Very mesmerising view as one side is golden above horizon and below Darjeeling still in dark with glittering night lights. But for getting this experience one has to leave his bed very early in morning and lucky enough to have get crystal clear weather.

Darjeeling is famous throughout the world for the tea it grows and the great view of Kanchenjunga range of mountains that it offers. It is also known for its richness in cultural & natural heritage and the famous toy train that has been declared a UN heritage. Tiger hill Tiger Hill is located 11kms from Darjeeling town and above Ghum. It's the highest point in Darjeeling hills at an altitude of 8482 feet. It offers a very clear view of Mount Kanchenjunga. We went at 4 am to see the sunrise. It was great to view the sunrise and vivid colors reflecting on Mt Kanchenjunga. Tea gardens There are more than 87 operational tea gardens in Darjeeling district covering an aggregated area of about 46,950 acres under tea plantation.
