This is a beautiful area, great scenery. Only thing finding your way around is not easy, the park is very poorly signed. I also it had information about the history of the area. But it was a great place to hike.

I came here with my two sons 21 and 25 for a day hike. The trail we chose was difficult but beautiful, it was by a waterfall. After we also went across the street into the Japanese Garden and drove by the scenic overlook. We spent a lovely afternoon here and I highly recommend if in the area. The cabins looked cute for renting.

The lot by the lake was so peaceful - woke up to deer in our lot each morning - lots of places to hike - and if you like to fish - its the ticket.

Our family of five was here for a wedding at the State Park Lodge. Very nice grounds, great scenic views of mountains, valleys, and Lake Guntersville. There is a zip line with two levels, lake activities, and hiking. We found emus, donkey, and goats along with a small cave that we explored. The zip was fun, and we enjoyed the short hike to the cave that we explored. Camping and boat launches are available.

Absolutely stunning view of the water from all the rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Friday night Prime Rib buffet and the Saturday night seafood buffet was great and reasonably priced for the variety of food available. They also have a very good breakfast buffet and serve lunch, so there was really no need to go anywhere. Their turkey club sandwich was the bomb! We had a King suite. The room was quite large with a huge living room, kitchenette and whirlpooltub. We had a very nice sized balcony perfect for just chilling and enjoying the water. The room was emaculate and our bed was extremely comfortable. When I reserved our room for the weekend, the staff went out of their way to get me the suite I wanted. Overall, the was one of the best and most relaxing weekend trips my husband and I have taken in a while! I would highly recommend and we will DEFINITELY be going back!!!!!
