Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace was the summer residence of the Mysorean ruler Tipu Sultan. Hyder Ali commenced its construction and it was completed during the reign of Tipu Sultan in 1791. After Tipu Sultan's death in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, the British Administration used the palace for its secretariat before moving to Attara Kacheri in 1868. Today the Archaeological Survey of India maintains the palace as a tourist spot.

If u have noticed " Barso re megha megha " song from Guru, you can spot this bridge, Ashwarya rai is riding her bicycle on this old bridge only and in many kannada movies i believe.anyways its so sad that this bride is partially washed away last week due to monsoon flood in the kaveri river.

Any tourist visiting Bangalore having interest in history must visit the place. It is believed that in this place the body of Tipu, the great fighter against the British ruler was found here. If you close your eyes, you can see the tragic scene of the past years.
