#1 be sure to get tickets ahead of time. I wanted the family pass but didn't realize that don't offer that at the gate. So it was a little more expensive than I would have liked to pay. #2 Splurge to get the larger amounts of food for all the animals. (Safari, giraffe, petting zoo, etc.) We had so much fun interacting with all the animals. We laughed and made amazing memories. The animals seem to be very well taken care of. The staff were very informative and we learned a lot.

I had never been to this park before. I was impressed. It’s basically an island that juts out into lake Bryan. It features quite a few camping spots. From what I gather, it’s busy most weekends with lots of groups using the facilities. It has a bathroom facility so that’s a plus. No port a potties needed here. It’s not free. Day entry is ten bucks but I got it waived. I really enjoyed the place and our group had a great time. Worth a visit if in the area.. sunsets are beautiful!
