A haven for the arts since 2010, the Hidden Garden Art Gallery offers quality original art in many mediums. HG is the largest of its kind in Guanacaste, more than 60 artists on exhibit, and 15 rooms full of paintings, sculptures and diverse artistic expressions. The gallery has 3,500 square feet of wall space, and more than 400 pieces on display. Rooms are coordinated by styles, ranging from geometric abstraction, to typical art, to underwater images. The Gallery is also home to the permanent exhibits of our resident artist Carlos Hiller underwater scenes, Susan Adams, Rebeca Alvarado Soto and many more. Our location, designed with a marvelous architecture, is the perfect setting for our cultural center. Our mission is to strengthen and heighten local artists' works and share the beauty and culture of Costa Rica.
Specializing in artistic expression of Costa Rica, the Hidden Garden Art Gallery should not be overlooked. Whatever your tastes in art, the Hidden Gallery has something from a local artist to suit your needs. Owners Greg and Charlene Golojuch are wonderful hosts and curators of this collection.

Costa Rica'n Art Craft is a craft market offering an incredible variety of hand-made Costa Rican art and crafts. Huge selection. Great prices. One of the best local art and craft markets in the Liberia area.
We left this little shop with big smiles on our faces. Not only did we get some good deals, we also loved the owners Antonio and Valeria. Antonio speaks english fluently and is a very articulate gentleman. He took the time to chat with us about recent history of the area and he gave us some excellent advice about our planned visit to Palo Verde National Park. There is simply no substitute for local knowledge! Their young assistant, Diana, helps out in the store but also works in their little cafe and their adjoining outdoor restaurant. The shop is FULL of local handicraft items. They have a very nice variety of wood carvings, handicraft boxes, pottery, paintings, inexpensive jewelry and Costa Rican coffee. He generously offered us a 10% discount for paying cash even though we didn't ask. Prices in beach towns seem to be about 30 to 50% higher for comparable items. The shop is located on the main road between Liberia and the beach towns of Conchal, Brasilito, Playa Grande, Playa Flamingo and Palo Verde National Park and other tourist destinations west and south of Liberia. Stop in...you won't regret it!

ArtWood Museum Is a collection of artworks and samples from naturally fallen Costa Rican trees. It is also a place to learn about the different species of trees and the importance of keeping the local forests safe from fires. A fun and educative experience full of amazing picture-worthy pieces.
