Reviewed By D4858QlBooked through Expedia but had to cancel 7 days in advance. Hotel policy is 72 hours so should have been no problem. Received confirmation of the cancellation. Also, for some reason, the motel charged me a week before the booking and would not refund. Expedia was no help. The person at the motel told me that despite the cancellation, I was sh*t out of luck and would have to take it up with my credit card company. Scam.

Plus, the new owners are super friendly and gracious folks. This was my first time staying here, but from what I gather, the upgrades that were done have raised the bar in a big way.

The place seems to have a lot of sketchy “things” going on the rooms on either side had a barrage of people coming and going from 11 pm till 4 am. Some are living here. Drug dealers outside over night over the weekend. Loud bikers and their friends come and go. In the morning I try to use the bathroom and the toilet seat dropped and water leaked. Then I try to take a shower, and there is no soap or shampoo! People can see my room completely from the highway every time I opened the door. Manager is irresponsible.

Reviewed By teresawY9484FZRead reviews before I booked room for 4 nights. Did not need fancy, wanted quiet and comfortable. Visiting family so only in room to sleep, shower and have Internet access. Almost did not book as took 4 phone calls to get through to motel as was arriving after a 6 hour drive and as small, assumed family owned place did not want to have difficulty checking in due to later arrival and a bit variable arrival time due to drive time and weather. Got through on last call and later arrival secured. Room quiet, comfortable, internet access good, bathroom clean. Only one plastic hanger on rack, a bit of a concern about lock on door as only door knob lock when gone, dead bolt when in room better. Will return as family in area for another year.

Beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Easy walk to their restaurant - Maria's Seaside Cafe. Continental breakfast is provided in the lobby daily.

Reviewed By Localgirl0330Misquamicut Beach holds a special place in my heart and I've been coming here for decades. The Misquamicut Beach Front Inn (MBFI ) was built post- Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Actually, the owners had a terrific restaurant/parking lot they ran on this site prior to their property being obliterated by the storm. I've been familiar with the family for more than 30 years . The hotel is run by a family of brothers --who couldn't be nicer or kinder property owners and hoteliers. They are Al, Eddie, and Sam- and I am sure there are other family me. These owners truly care about customers. I stay with them one night a week nearly all summer long. That has enabled me to observe the outstanding consistency with which they run their hotel. Their standards are high and and I am never disappointed. Consistency does not waver no matter the heat, the crowds, or the time of year. It is always the same- great!. All three have a smile and a nod for all of their guests- in every interaction. I travel alone, and Sam, Eddie, and Al greet me (I am a single, older woman) as a valued guest and friend, week after week. The rooms are impeccable- spotless! I have stayed in many, many beach hotels in this area including Block Island and Montauk. No one can hold a candle to the cleanliness of MBFI. I would not be afraid of eating off of the floor there! The linens are crisp white, the rooms smell clean. There is no musty beach smell. The bathrooms are sparkling. It is clear that their standards are important to them. Staying here, you have access to their private beach. The owners and their lifeguard work hard to ensure that only you- their customer- gets sit on the private beach where you parked your vehicle. That means they keep out the drifters, the townies, the smokers and drinkers, and the other random people that might intrude on the peacefulness of this location. Also-- the rooms and views are special. With a beach-facing room, you see nearly 180 degrees of ocean view. It's a little slice of heaven (Be sure to request an "ocean view"room). The bed linens are immaculately clean, there are plenty of pillows. The bathrooms are big-- the water pressure in the shower is strong (I wish my plumbing at home was this good). And while there aren't lots of toiletries and extras- it's just enough. And, your room will have a fridge AND a microwave. If you're traveling in the pandemic as I have been the last two summers, take out or food from home is easily heated up in the microwave, saving both money and minimizing social contact. The fridge has been great as I bring my own yogurt and fruit for breakfast and often, my own dinner pre-cooked at home. This has saved me a great deal of cash and worry about eating out in restaurants. Lastly, they have things that other hotels on Atlantic Ave do not. This hotel has an elevator- what a nice plus when you have lots of luggage and are on the third floor. There are changing rooms, and outdoor showers-- great to clean off before you drive home several hours, And the parking is ON THE BEACH! Which means unpacking and re-packing your trunk is simple-- just steps from your beach blanket. This location is away from the hustle of the State Beach/carnival atmosphere and is comparatively quiet. Restaurants and bars are a stone's throw from MBFI which is very convenient. If you want groceries, Stop n'Shop is less than a mile away. Location is excellent. This is an awesome beach hotel. Trust me. I've tried most all of them around here. This is my happy place. Great job, MBFI.
