Reviewed By anitamortimerMy husband and I were on a 4 week motorcycling trip around Europe and this property was due to be our last stop for a 2 night break before going to Calais. In the morning my husband received a call from a french lady who could not speak a word of english but we established she wanted to know when we would arrive at the property. We advised her it would be approx 5pm. On arriving at the property which took some finding as we thought it was a hotel we went to the door and were greated by a french lady with a totally blank look on her face as to why we were there! After sometime she worked out that we were due to stay for 2 nights. She very quickly then advised us about the key code situation and showed us upstairs to our room. There was a sort of communial sofa, tea/coffee station on the landing but no supplies that I could see. The atmosphere was quite strange and frosty. We were pay £100 per night for this and it was quite basic. Whilst I was in the room upstairs my husband went to look at the pool and found it to be in a state of repair with stones up at one end and loose stones the other end. Sadly we did not take photos. He then came upstairs to me and we decided it was not worth what we were paying (we specifically wanted the pool as it was due to be a nice day the next day and my husband was going in to Spa and leaving me to relax). We tried to find what we thought to be the owner, despite her handbag being open to the world on the kitchen table she was knowhere to be found. It was raining at this point and we swiftly found another place to stay very close by and left. We have tried to get some compensation from this booking and have been totally blown out. The woman told booking.com that we never even showed up!!! Save yourselves any grief and DO NOT book this poor excuse for a holiday break

The B & B Corner of sources is located in the small village of Tiege, 12 km from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and 4 km from the city center and the Thermes de Spa. All guests enjoy free Wi-Fi and a bike rental service. This bed and breakfast offers charming rooms with flat-screen TV. En suite bathrooms come with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Bed linen is provided. A homemade breakfast is served each morning. The B & B at the corner of the sources has also a garden, a terrace, a shared living room, cloakroom and a children's playground. Electric bicycles can be rented at the property on request. The surroundings are ideal for the practice of many outdoor activities such as canoeing and hiking and cycling. Golf Course is less than 2 km away. Free parking is available on site.
Peaceful and very accessible gem of a rural retreat
Reviewed By Anne DA gem of a b&b which is within 3 minutes drive from the motorway, but its location in a small valley means it does not suffer from any of the inconveniences of the motorway. The owners are extremely hospitable and welcoming and the place is scrupulously clean. Décor is modern and pleasant to the eye. Breakfasts are delicious, fresh and display local produce. We went in the autumn and were lucky enough to be there when the weather was glorious. The local forests were resplendent and a paradise for walkers. It is also set close to Spa which is a pearl of a town set in the beautiful Ardennes. For Formula 1 enthusiasts too this B&B would be a real find as the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is close.

Beautiful B&B in the Ardennes
Reviewed By Kim094Beautiful B&B in the Ardennes with two rooms. One named “Charlotte” on the ground floor and one room named “Anna” on the first floor. We made a reservation for the room “Charlotte” but got a free upgrade to the room “Anna”. The room was clean, very spacious and has a view on the Lac de Warfaaz. There’s a king size bed and private bathroom with a rain shower. On the ground floor is a kitchen with a fridge, cooker and microwave you can use, free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soup. Breakfast is included and very good. Anja, the owner, made us feel very welcome. The B&B is situated at the Lac de Warfaaz and in walking distance of some nice restaurants. Try the family owned restaurant Le Bouchon Gourmand, the food is amazing. The surroundings are beautiful and you can go walking and cycling. There are mountainbike-routes which you can cycle yourself, but there’s also a school (MTB-school.com) that can help you develop your skills during a one day clinic. Thermes de Spa is a 5 minute drive, where you can have a nice relaxing day after all your activities.

Villa Sparadis is located 2 km from Spa in a quiet environment, 250 m from a beautiful lake. You can rent (separately or together) 1 private suite and 2 bedrooms in the villa to welcome 6 guests maximum. Ample parking and access to a heated pool (April-September). Come and recharge your batteries for a weekend or a week in our haven of peace.

Reviewed By Paul RThis B&B is only 15 minutes from the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit so was an ideal base for a two day event. The village and scenery where the B&B is located is however worth a visit in itself, with the lake and restaurants/bars only 10 minute walk from the B&B. There are plenty of walking/hiking routes around the area. The owner is very friendly, extremely helpful and speaks very good English. The B&B is very clean and has a good lounge and garden area for relaxing. No tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms but there are free facilities in the lounge. Fresh quality produce are supplied every day for the continental breakfast.

Reviewed By karinedeFLEURYNous avons passé 3 jours dans cette très sympathique maison d'hôtes, chambre très jolie, grand lit, et belle vue sur la campagne, endroit très calme, et indépendant. Je recommande pour ceux qui souhaitent se rendre sur le circuit de SPA (seulement 9 kms) je recommande sans hésiter !!!
