Saw the good reviews here and we can only confirm that it was excellent. We learned a lot about the area and the cloud forest, and even saw a white armadillo. A good hike up and down the mountain and the kids loved to learn about the eco system and the differences to other places. Carlos is an excellent guide and very passionate about their project.

Cabalgatas San Pablo

We took a ride to Don Ellis's coffee plantation with our guide Oscar, what a character! Everything is espectacular lmao. My wife had very little horse riding experience and Oscar made sure she was safe and gave instruction while letting the other riders trot ahead and have a little more freedom.Over all very enjoyable for us both,i just wish we had done the river trek as it was longer and had more scenery from the experience of the other group! Oscar mostly speaks Spanish, but even with basic Spanish ourselves, it was great and he is quite funny.

Finca Don Eduardo Coffee Tour

We are a small boutique coffee farm that produces PURE traditional varietels of coffee using eco-friendly techniques. We do not talk about what we are planning to do. We show you the cool eco-friendly stuff we are currently doing. (We came 2nd in a sustainable tourism contest run by the Colombian Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in 2013.) Our tour lasts 3 hours and covers the whole of the coffee process - from the cultivatation, to the harvesting , to the tasting and roasting of our coffee . We do an english tour a day at 9.00am and a spanish tour at 15.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday we do an english tour at 9.00. Sunday is our day off ! The tour leaves from Plantation House reception and the farm is only 10 minutes walk away from Salento. We are currently tasting different roasts and different varietels. So if you ever wondered how roasting affects the taste of your coffee or how the same varietels from the same farm can taste different - NOW IS YOUR CHANCE.
