Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos

My partner and I decided to make the most of the cloudy weather forecast by following the Seven Hanging Valley trail and were pleasantly surprised by the views and the change in weather. The winds along the coast disguise the suns rays so it’s important to have sun cream, plenty of water and take mini breaks/ snacks. In total it took 4 hours one way (including plenty of stops for photos along the way). We took the main roads back which only took us an hour and a half. Something to bear in mind when setting off on this trail is stopping for food, by the time we got to Praia da Marinha around 14:00 most restaurants were closed and due to reopen at 18:00/18:30. Additional: Carvalho Beach was a quiet secluded spot whereas Benagil Beach was relatively busy offering boat tours around the caves along the coast (starting from 10:00).

Lady in Red - Galeria de Arte

A huge and unused storage space in the region’s biggest winery - an authentic industrial place where the smells of wine hover around. Nearly everything was left untouched, even the rough dark old walls, while the integration of a perfect infrastructure for a modern art gallery with a gigantic light system went ahead. The result: 3.000 m² breathtaking contrast of space. Looking forward meeting you!

My wife and I wanted to see Bengali Caves and arrived after 11am. Queues were a nightmare on beach for kayaks so we decided to walk to see caves from above. About 200m up from beach (steep hill) Stance has kayak there. We booked a kayak but one came up earlier and got it for over a hour and a half for 30 Euros. Boat trips were 30 Euros plus and not nearly same experience. Great trip along coast with a fabulous beach just a short paddle on from Cave. Cave can be a bit dodgie avoiding the many boats large and small. We we very lucky getting our Kayak or the very steep hill that you have to wheel it down and more importantly up seems to put most off. Would thoroughly recommend if you are in any way semi fit.
