3 nights at Ribbonwood Cottages

3 couples stayed in the Platypus cottage (3 bedroom/2 bathroom). Very clean and comfortable with a lovely veranda and everything inside that you need for your stay. 150 meters from the river for fishing (nothing caught) and walking distance to Tumut. Would definitely return and recommend it to others.

"A lovely atmosphere"

We stayed two nights in The Penthouse with Bruno, the Corgi and had such a relaxing time. Bruno had a ball playing with Reggie, the resident dog and Bindy and Dash who were visiting. Pru is a very relaxed and warm host and her extensive collections of art, objects and plants are amazing! Eclectic is an overused word but truly not in this case. I love that with every corner you turn, inside or outside, you come across something you didn't notice before; maybe a bonsai snowgum or oak, a giant stack of jaffle irons or the bust of a lady coming out of a tree. I would certainly stay here again.

I was part of a group of anglers staying at the Adaminaby cottages (as the sign says) for 3 nights. The site is easy to find (just past the town of Adaminaby heading north) and well equipped with fire pits, covered dining areas and shelters outside each cabin to keep the frost and snow off the cars. I chose a room to myself (cabin 9) which was clean, cosy and well set up. Gas cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and cups plates and cutlery. The electric fire warmed the room up quickly and the electric blanket and heat lamps in the bathroom were a nice touch and appreciated. The owner was very cheerful and keen to help so thanks and well done to her on her contributions to the weekend. By the way - if you are interested in fly fishing in the region I'd suggest you search out Josh Hutchins from the Aussie Fly Fisher and he'll sort you out with one of his guides who are all excellent.

Great place to stay for a ski holiday

Reviewed By justineb

We stayed at Bluegums Cottage at the Alpine Activity Centre and loved it. There was a group of 8 of us from 3 families and it was perfect. The booking process was easy, Kirrily was really helpful and friendly - she couldn't do enough for us, the cottages were a great set up for a small group. The beds were comfy, cottage was warm, kitchen was well equipped, dining room and lounge were big enough to accommodate all of us. It's a great choice for a great price for a ski holiday.

Manager is nasty woman

Reviewed By AileenF964

Offers to refund your money when emergency occurs, then changes her mind because she is getting evicted from the place, along with her creepy adult son who watches your every move. She has a large dog which I wouldn't trust near children. The place is run down and dusty. The furniture is old and worn out. The air conditioner sounded like a Jumbo jet taking off. Don't waste your money on this dump..
