Very impressive and interesting tour. The staff is very friendly and our tour guide, she loved to make jokes. She gave lots of information but in a very nice way which kept it interesting. Beautiful to see how the lava made these tunnels and to hear (better say not hear) what these tunnels do to sound compared to other caves and tunnels.

Reykjadalur Hot Springs

Wow! We went at the very last minute, as we were driving back from a full day along the south coast, so we were already immensely exhausted. What I had read about the natural geothermal River was that it was in the valley and beautiful! This is an understatement. As you start out, right from the parking lot, you can dip right into the spring pools (super warm/hot) water which feels great on your feet! It was about 35F outside so we were bundled and I didn’t have the courage to dip much more than my feet! The hike was strenuous uphill most of the way there- and over the mountain passes! There is a beautiful waterfall put in the distance below. Recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience a true natural geothermal river straight from the earth. Just be cautious because this is at least 2.5-3 miles just to get there!!!

Really interesting well designed exibition. Loved the video of the devistation caused in the wine store and the gas station. 300isk to experience the movement of the earthquake is worth spending. The meeting of the Europe and North American tectonic plates display is also worth seeing.
