The replica of the Temple of Heaven adjoins the Botanical Gardens. Anyone who has visited Beijing will instantly recognize it. It is intended to be an architectural blending of East and West. It now serves a useful purpose.

National Museum of History began operation in 1955. For more than six decades, we have been working to provide the most updated and innovative service. Beginning on 2 July 2018, the Museum will be closed for a complete overhaul for about three years. We will renovate and reorganize the museum building, service function, and administration. We aim to provide elevated and enhanced service quality and administrative efficiency when we reopen to the public. “See you again in a promising future.” We apologize for not being able to serve you and your friends in this duration.
This little museum is right next to the Botanical Gardens is is perhaps one of the less popular museums in Taipei. The exhibit is a wealth of wonder and historical value. Very much interesting to see artifacts dating BC and the rich contribution to culture and history. The gift shop is a must visit place too.

Following an illustrious career at the Vienna Philharmonic, Maestro Henry Mazer came to Taiwan to conduct the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. Taipei Philharmonic and Henry Mazer Music and Cultural Center was built in memory of Mr. Mazer, who passed away in 2002 at the age of 84. The lower level of the center is devoted to exhibits on Mr. Mazer, along with a rehearsal room and listening room. The exhibition area features belongings of Mr. Mazer along with photographs of the orchestra and its former conductor. There is also a café with wireless internet connection. Visitors can also listen to CD and vinyl recordings or browse the music-related books on display along with DVDs of international orchestras.
