Kayaking with Shannon was a beautiful experience!! He honors and respects the environment and is knowledgeable on the different ecosystems in the region while still offering you the chance to explore (hidden) parts of the island. This kayaking trip is guaranteed to show you a part of Aruba that seldom have seen!! He knows the waters and can almost always guarantee a trip based on different conditions, you will feel very safe. He also takes pictures which is a lovely keepsake of such an experience. He is super easy to find at Mangel Halto! Remember to book your trip!

You are invited to hike with us along the Spanish Lagoon Mangrove Trail inland to the headwaters where you will find the ruins of the old gold smelter neighbouring the haunted Frenchman’s Pass. Well-informed and enjoyably personal guides will lead you along this mangrove laced trail while explaining all there is to know about this rarely visited part of our island. Archaeologists have recently carbon-dated various shell middens as far back as 1465 BC as Spanish Lagoon was a principal area of exploration by the Archaic Amerindian first arrivals from Venezuela. After exploring the old Balashi Gold Smelter Ruins, we will take you to visit the “Shoco” nests. The Shoco athene cunicularia arubensis is our renowned burrowing owl. We then transport you to Murano’s Cafe and Art Studio for a lovely lunch.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Lunch at Murano art gallery & Restaurant , Water during the tour
