Reviewed By thetwigletIf you don’t like sleep then this is the place to go. Obviously can’t stop the road noise, but the noise from the flat hand game across the road goes on till gone midnight. You can hear your neighbours in the next room taking a shower and moving about. Walls paper thin. No safe in room. Room adequate, pillows awful and no air conditioning so have to have window open! Breakfast appalling. Cheap ham and cheese and a few bits of bread and croissants! The scrambled egg looked disgusting so didn’t touch. Very disappointed as was looking forward to our visit. Yes it’s only 2 star but expected better

Family run hotel with small holding
Reviewed By Paula NThis little hotel has it all. Clean, comfy with a good range of toiletries and a room with views towards Potes and the mountains around. We were intrigued to see the patron training his griffon vulture (?), feed his horses and then hear the peacocks in the morning. Breakfast was initially disappointing with two slices of thick white sliced toast, but do leave space for the Spanish equivalent of welsh cakes that arrive later. An experience!

Lovely, affordable hotel near the cable car to Picos de Europa
Reviewed By llu_sa2016My colleague and I rested in this hotel for a night after a strenuous 90 mile trekking route through Picos de Europa. It is conveniently situated near Fuente Dé (where the cable car is) and Potes (major city in the area where you should go and have a taste of the local gastronomy) at slightly lower price and with a much more less crowded ambiance. The hotel's pearl is it's back garden, where you can chill and relax as much as you want with some drinks. The hotel rooms are modest but sufficient if you are just looking for a place to take a rest and keep on going. It is a family run business and we were treated with an exquisite, almost motherly, kindness. One of the owners even offered to keep our stuff and food for future hiking trips to the area! Some other good stuff: it has a DIA (supermarket) across the street and it is a 10 minute walk to Potes. They have a bar service with beer on tap :) In sum, I definitely recommend Hotel Toscana to be used as a base to hike Picos.

Reviewed By kolipeePasamos un fin de semana muy tranquilos el pueblo es pequeño y está muy cerca de Potes la casa que alquilamos era un dúplex para cinco personas todo muy limpio y tiene todos los complementos y utensilios necesarios , el dueño fue muy amable y sin duda volveremos a repetir.100%recomendable

Rude and tense / Maleducada e intimidatoria

Se ofendió cuando le dijimos que queríamos ver la habitación antes de pagar y parecía molestarle todo lo que hacíamos. Además se quedaba mirándonos de pie sin decir nada y cuando le saludábamos no contestaba. Extremadamente incómodo y desagradable. Suerte del hombre que también lleva el negocio y que parece ser una bellísima persona. Él hizo la estancia un poco más agradable. ——————- Since we arrived the woman from the hostel treated us very badly. She was offended when we asked to see the room before paying which then seemed to bother everything we did. She also stood looking at us without saying anything and when we greeted her she did not answer, or rolled her eyes when we asked for coffee for breakfast. Overall an extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Thankfully the man who also runs the business seems to be a beautiful person. He made the stay a little more pleasant.
