The Mothership is a stunning art/eco Resort and retreat space in the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range. With several waterfalls nearby it's a great spot to reconnect with nature and enjoy our beautiful dome houses.
A unique and beautiful place to enjoy
Reviewed By KimMarshall99My daughter and I had to visit this unique property after seeing the photos online, and reading their creation story. The photos don't do it justice. The Mothership is a beautiful resort to go and enjoy peace, beauty and collective creativity. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, and were made welcome to admire all of the unique mosaics, and unoccupied pods. The beds were very comfortable and even the furniture was mostly bespoke and lovely. The hospitality was exceptional, and we felt very comfortable and relaxed at this beautiful property. We only planned for one night, and were very happy to have the option to have dinner and breakfast prepared on site. Both meals were superb and less than we would have paid at a restaurant. Everything about our stay was delightful. We enjoyed the company of our hosts immensely. Perfect place to stay and consider for group holiday or retreat venue. The Mothership resort exudes beauty, comfort, hospitality and inspiration.

Reviewed By tracylauraWe loved this place and it’s owners, so quiet and peaceful, showers fun and quirky once you work them out they are fine. We visited the elephants which I can honestly say is one of my best days out ever it was a truly amassing experience and would love to do it again. We also enjoyed having a cooking lesson. Pick up and drop off was all arranged. My only suggestion would be to.cook breakfast eggs while customer waits as it was stone cold they pre cook and then turn on the warmers when guests arrive, even the rice and noodles could just go in the pan for a minute. Some information or how, when and why the Lodge was set up would have been interesting. We loved it and hope to return . Thanks Tracy & Steve

Reviewed By loulefoodie2Great little basic hotel two beds to a room one double one single plenty of hot water and a powerful shower, nice little coffee shop at entrance to hotel would stay again . Start of our ten day tour on Tuk Tuk’s around local area and up in the mountains.

This is a Karen style house surrounded by serene rice paddies and nestled in a traditional Karen tribal village. There are several parks nearby and waterfalls are explored. Day trips to elephant camps for rescued elephants can easily be organized for guests.

Reviewed By Ryan PI spent 2 nights at Nongtao. The were very friendly and helpful. The area is incredibly peaceful and you are a 5 minute walk from Thailands most beautiful elephant sanctuary. Also the beds are unbelievable. If you are in the Chaing Mai region Nongtao is a must!
