A short walk from Playa Brasilito, and the famous Playa Conchal - composed of finely crushed seashells, and widely regarded as one of the finest beaches in Costa Rica. Standard rooms feature queen bed, A/C, fan, cable TV, fridge, safety box, en-suite bathroom with hot water shower, and private poolside patio area. Also Superior rooms and family suites available. Reviewed By 690sydneybPool area is calm and relaxing. Restaurant is lovely with great breakfast. Room was nice with mini fridge and ac. We were able to reserve and check in last minute when another option fell through. They were ready and waiting for us with open arms.

Small, inexpensive beachfront hotel with 2 great rooms and some really bad ones
Reviewed By blairhankins33The hotel is a bit run-down, but so is the whole area - the view of the ocean is wonderful, but the water is not good for swimming. Beautiful Conchal beach is a 10 min walk and worth the walk. I wouldn't swim in the beach at Brasilito. The gem of the hotel are the two 2nd floor rooms (A & B) with great view & private terrace. I wouldn't bother to stay in any other room. We stayed in room 10 for one night - it was tiny, 1st floor, next to pool which featured noisy folks and behind the room was some private home that had loud music and with the walls so thin, it sounded like they were in the room. I suspect room 8 and 6 would be the same. Also, be careful about booking. you really want rooms A & B on the 2nd floor with the great view and terrace. But twice, oops, they screwed up the reservation and we stayed in lousy room 10.

Cabinas Diversion Tropical is a comfortable, affordable, and clean hotel with lots of amenities and a friendly, helpful staff located in Brasilito near Playa Conchal. We are closest to Westin Golf Resort and Spa at Playa Conchal & the W. We offer loads of amenities. Our clean and fresh rooms have memory foam comfort bedding. The private bathrooms include hot water. The rooms have a/c, a ceiling fan, thermal room darkening drapes, and screened windows. You can enjoy smart tv's with cable & wi-fi, netflix, in-room coffee, refrigerator, and daily cleaning. Six of our rooms offer private kitchens and we have a public kitchen next to the pool. We have a refreshing pool, an outdoor rancho with a shared kitchen, a garden, hammocks and other great places to hang out. You can walk to Brasilito Centre, Brasilito Beach, and the famous Playa Conchal. Locally we have 12-14 restaurants, a few bars, 5 small markets, souvenir shops, etc. Many additional amenities and Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches are a short drive, bus, or taxi ride away. We will help you arrange tours, transportation, and services. The owner is a woman who has travelled extensively and really enjoys helping travelers find their way, with a special place in her heart for her kindred spirit, the single traveler. We promise to pay special attention to your needs and your safety. We are a great first or last stop before flying out of Liberia or San Jose. We have the Tralapa Bus that goes directly from Brasilito to the Liberia and San Jose Airport. Head to or from San Jose Airport into our area with ease, comfort, and affordably. Come stay with us at the beginning of your trip as you leave Liberia Airport and we will get you off on the right foot for the rest of your adventures here in Costa Rica. Reviewed By manchestergirl2019My friend and I stayed here for one week on arriving to Costa Rica, this place is great! The rooms are clean and comfortable with air con, powerful hot water shower and breakfast is made freshly every morning and served outside. The location was good for us as a base as we were keen to explore. We walked down to Playa Brasilito which was around 10 mins. The beautiful white sands of Playa Conchal are a good 30 min walk which didn't bother us but may be something to bear in mind if you want to be right on the beach. There are shops and restaurants and a very interesting local bar in Brasilito which is a quiet town. Tamarindo is around a 20 min drive away if you're looking for a busier town and nightlife. There isn't loads going on in Brasilito but we enjoyed horse riding on the beach to watch the sunset, a boat trip and snorkelling in Conchal, Playa Flamingo is pretty but far too touristy for us and this hotel made a good base. We were glad to have our little sanctuary to come home to. The pool area is lovely, nice and clean with loungers and hammocks. What really makes this place is the staff. My friend and I travelled around Costa Rica and the staff here were by far the nicest people of anywhere we stayed! Jodie and her gorgeous team gave us advice, chatted to us, even made sure they had the details of our taxi driver when we left, and that we checked in with them at our next destination. We both just adored everyone here and it has a really safe, family feel. Thank you guys! You're the best!

Good mid-range hotel in Brasilito
Reviewed By tokyovoiceThis is a family-run hotel with comfortable rooms and a nice atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool, and the hotel is set far back from the road, so it’s very quiet at night. Wifi in the room was a bit spotty at times, but basically all right. The room was spacious and was cleaned daily. We stayed in room #29. The key to the safe did not work, and the window did not lock, but we did not have any problems. I would recommend that they provide liquid body soap as opposed to the tiny bars of soap in the shower. They kept the restaurant area very clean and disinfected; the staff all wore masks (if you’re worried about that kind of thing). Breakfast was all right. They offered a choice of either the “typical” Costa Rican breakfast, or fruit and toast. We requested eggs, fruit and toast, and they were fine with that. They also provided as much coffee as we wanted. Fresh juice would be nice. They organized a taxi to Liberia airport for US $70 which was good value. We paid $75/night as walk-in guests. We think the rooms are worth about $65, but we found everything in Costa Rica to be overpriced in general, so this is not a reflection on this hotel. They made you feel very welcome.
