Clean and quiet
Reviewed By mommysunshineClean and quiet. This 4/5 review is with the understanding that this is a mom and pop motel that is dated but clean and quiet are more important to me than new and modern. It is on the out skirts of town which helps keep it quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room. Nice grounds. Lovely view of the mountains and a few swings to sit in and enjoy your cup of coffee (in a real coffee cup with Keurig coffee) in the morning. Downsides We got there at 9:30pm. Too late for regular check in. There was an envelop on the lobby door with our information on it. Had our room number and our receipt. Both stated room 35. So we went to room 35 and the key didnt work. The key said room 32. So I cautiously open room 32 hoping no one was in there. It was empty (not the correct type of room, we had asked for a 2 queen and our receipt was for a 2 queen and 32 was a king) We decided it would be ok and stayed the night in room 32. At midnight when someone else pulled up I was a little nervous if there was any chance they also had room 32 but no one attempted to come in our room. In the morning when I let the front desk person know about the mix up I got a shrug and told we were charged the same price so no big deal. Overall I would stay here again, still seems like the best option in this town. Price was reasonable.

Very good hotel
Reviewed By 976draganadSmall, cute hotel on fantastic location. It’s 2 min walking from T1 tram station and Grand bazar, but in peaceful street. Room are very nice, clean, in good shape. Hotel has nice terrace on a roof with nice view. Staff is very kind. Halil as host of restaurant is very polite and at disposal for all. Fantastic value for money, I recommend hotel.

Reviewed By PixelpandererFriendly fast check-in. The rooms were spartan but very clean. Pretty dark inside. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There was no street noise. The wifi worked well with no outtages while I was there.

Travlers Beware
Reviewed By Linda TWe chose this motel because we were traveling with a pet and the sign said "Pets Welcome" We checked in, but we should have listened to our instincts. The rooms were in definite need of refurbishment and the beds were lumpy looking and very uninviting. There were permanent renters sitting around. We decided this was not the place we wanted to stay, forfeited the room charge and left.

This hotel is close to many outdoor activities including hunting, hiking, golf, fishing and bird watching. Guests will also find convenient access to key area attractions and restaurants. The hotel is in close proximity to local events such as Fandango Days, the Modoc District Fair, the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Migratory Bird Festival. A seasonal outdoor heated pool is on the property, business center and continental breakfast. Dogs are welcome to the hotel for a small fee. For superior customer service make a reservation at the Trailside Inn.
Dated and dull
Reviewed By netllamaWe spent one night here, based on prior TA reviews. At best, this motel is mediocre. The room is dated, and still has a number of Best Western branded items from however long ago they used to be part of that chain. The AC unit is extremely loud, yet the TV has its volume capped at 50%, making it impossible to hear the TV without turning off the AC. The beds were lumpy. However, the worst part was the front desk. As I arrived, the clerk was carrying on a conversation with some random person. Neither of them was wearing a mask, despite the COVID19 pandemic. As soon as the clerk saw me, she raced back behind the counter, still without a mask. The other person sat in the lobby, still without a mask, the entire time that I was checking in. I don't see any reason to return here if they are actively violating state COVID19 orders.
