Although I participated only in a couple of trekking and 4WD rides within the Lafões Mountains, I can attest of Nomadas' thorough knowledge of the local traditions and amazing natural scenes therein.
The interaction with Nomadas has felt, at all times, reassuringly professional and skillful, without ever jeopardising the "expected" Portuguese hospitality. ;)
Having seen the areas where their more "adventurous" activities are carried out, I can not wait to check them out also, in particular knowing they have many years of experience there as well.
Bottom line: if you are into nature, open spaces, sensations, traditions,… you will be in good hands. Definitely worth the detour.

O local é pitoresco com uma vista muito bonita, o clima de outono estava agradável em meio a mata de pinheiros, que exala um perfume peculiar.

This natural park offers good walks in the north of Serra do Caramulo.
It offers beautiful views of nature and some animals like goats and birds.
The walks are easy, just don't do it in Summer at the sun. :)
Take some food with you and do a picnic near the windmill, near the river. There are tables to enjoy the spot.
Don't forget water!
