Had a great time with Mountain Man Rafting. Took my children (age 7-15) who all loved it and want to return as soon as we can. Wish I would have taken my three year old but was worried it might not be safe for him. Water was calm enough in late July that it would have been fine if he had been along. We hope to return in June when the water is higher and the ride a little rougher. Our guide was great and the whole operation seemed to be very professional. I would recommend Mountain Man without reservation!

This great club has gone trough a full renovation and service standard have become the norm in the San Luis Valley. A magnificently maintained golf course that challenges the imagination and skills. A beautifully renovated club house and a new and exiting menu and wine list. Service is fantastic as is management. New owners are really doing a great job in improving this already very good facility. Great Brunch on Sundays (reservations) and fantastic meals by new Chef Ingrid. The bar is outstanding with a nice happy hour on Fridays. Don't miss the golf or the club house.

We've rented from them before and was impressed enough to come back. But this time, my wife had issues with the fit of her ski boots while we were at Wolf creek, so we rented a second set of boots from the resort to be able to continue our day there. We took the poorly fitting boots back to 8200 that night and they switched out her boots. They would not offer to reimburse us for the boots we had to rent at the resort saying they don't do it for comfort!! We will never rent again from them for that statement. It's about the principle of customer service and not the $10 extra we spent. We will rent from elsewhere next month or from the resort in case we need to make a change of equipment on the slopes.

We did the longer trip to Wagon Gap with a group riding in an open-air rail car. Absolutely fabulous time....stunning scenery, informative engineer, and a delightful lunch stop at Blue Creek Lodge. We HIGHLY recommend this fun excursion of riding the rails through the beautiful Colorado mountains.

We took a 1/2 day rafting trip last June with Brent as our guide. We had 2 adults, a 8 y/o, 15y/o and 20 y/o with us. River was up and really running so we ended up getting to raft farther than we would have. Scenery of course was amazing & Brent was a great guide with lots of info about the area. Will be visiting again them this year. Be sure you have sunscreen, bug spray, and a jacket for the trip. Also a pair of dry shoes for the return trip.
