The Potter's Shed

"like nowhere else" is the only real way to describe this place of wonder, creativity and fun. Whether you come for the shopping, eating, live music, hands on art or just relaxing--it's the one stop you've got to make.

This is a fun, funky, artisan venue that is a great spot to hear live music on Friday nights. You can enjoy a bottle of wine or beer, and there were snacks and desserts for sale, too. During the day it is a cafe with coffees and more kinds of food. We did not go into the pottery side, but there are lots of art pieces to look at and buy. It's a casual atmosphere, and people of all ages were there. There was plenty of seating. We enjoyed it a lot!

Clover Meadow Winery

Approaching Clover Meadow winery down a long gravel drive, we had no idea what we would find. Seeing the simple buildings, the acres of vinyards and the horses, grazing at will around the yard without tack, we underestimated what would wait inside. Met by purveyor, Pat, we were immediately welcomed to come in, and provided a brief desceiption of this organic gem. Upon tasting we found a greater collection of tasty wines than the cullmonating total of "favorites" at the 3 wineries we had previously visited on our week-long getaway. We shared a bottle of Foch-sho, cheese tray and the wonderful company of Pat, a thoughtful host who treated us as if we were old friends. Pat was gracious enough to give us a full tour of his opperations, sharing its history and aspirations. We stayed for several hours by the outdoor fire enjoying the peaceful simplicity and wonderful wine. The wine alone makes the trek worthwhile. The atmosphere ans hospitality makes it worth the stay. And if we might, we strongly reccommend the ladies: "slutty sister" and "ugly sister" are worth at least a bottle each.
