The Norwegian Forest Museum has a national responsibility for presenting the history of hunting, trapping, fishing, forestry and forest industry. With more than 110 000 visitors annually, the museum is one of the largest in all of Norway. Klevfos Industrial Museum at Adalsbruk and the Sorlistoa Museum in Osen, are owned by the same foundation running the Norwegian Forest Museum.
A modern, attractive, well-planned museum with a very wide range of topics and exhibits, and some sections with nice special-effects touchs. Good cafe, and pleasant outdoor walks, one of them leading by bridge over the River Glomma to Prestøya island with its collection of traditional Norwegian buildings (and some goats, pigs, sheep and cows!).

The Glomdal Museum is one of the country’s largest open-air museums, and displays a four hundred year-old period of building- and living tradition in osterdalen and Solor. The museum aims to make visible that through centuries, Norway has been a multicultural country.
A nice museum with Antiquarian buildings from farming communities in nearby district . The building have been moved, restored and systematically rebuilt in yard, and sorted geographically. The idea has been to convey the folk culture in the area. Very pleasant place to spend some hours and you could fele the atmosphere .

Welcome to the Elverum region. The Elverum region consists of three municipalities: Elverum, Valer and Amot. It covers 3,275 km2 and has approximately 28,500 inhabitants. Elverum is often called the forest capital and the entire region plays a very important part in Norway's forest industry. The forest is not just for timber production but is also home to an abundance of wildlife and endless hiking opportunities. Elverum is the biggest city in the region and is therefore regarded as the regional centre. The river Glomma flows through our region. Along with the Rena river and other waterways, there are plenty of opportunities for water activities like fishing, swimming and canoeing.
Dette var en hyggelig opplevelse. Trivelige mennesker med god kunnskap om nærområdet. Fikk den hjelpen jeg trengte
