We came here quite a bit because we were staying at the adjacent Casa di Anny. Having apero here is great as they serve you a rather elaborate collection of snacks with it. The food options are a bit limited and rather pricey, but that is expected for a pool/beach place.

Confusingly situated on Via St Francesco, this beautifully decorated /restored originally dates from 1697. Although as you enter into this fine church from the busy west end (Via Garibaldi), where the floorhas beencut away to show the foundations of an earlier church (c12th).
Inside this well supported church it is larger than seems from the road, and is beautiful, thought provoking and full of symbolism. The stations of the Cross, as with the rest of the church is lovingly cared for, and this reflects the devotion of the congregation throughout the decades following the 1880s eathquake, which had destroyed much of this small town. .

As a group of 4, we were drawn to this lovely museum by its beautiful exterior. After some initial language problems with a charming lady on the desk, who spoke no English and spoke a little too quickly for my poor Italian, we gained entry and found it fascinating. Most of the descriptions were in the native Italian and would have benefitted from translations into other languages, however a very helpful member of staff, with better English than my Italian, explained some of the displays to us and showed us where multi-language laminated cards were stored in each room. 2 floors of displays were open and the view from the balcony at the front of the museum gave some wonderful views across the coastline.
The museum not only informed about the local area but also the main players, as well as exhibits recovered from an ancient galleon.
Well worth taking some restful time out to visit and thank you to the lovely gent on the upper floor who spent time explaining what we were seeing.

Great location. Rock jetties make a safe sea water pool No waves or undertow. Great for children and swimming. Big operation. Probably 2000 chairs but well run and personable.
