Crow Lake Provincial Park

This beautiful northern lake is perfect for wildlife watching from a canoe, kayak, or other paddle equipment as Crow Lake Provincial Park is adjacent to Crow Lake Ecological Reserve. Steep valley sides are forested with mixed stands of white spruce and aspen with some balsam fir. Parts of the area have escaped fire for a long time so some of the spruce are more than 150 years old. Bald eagle nests have been found along the lake's shores.

We came for the day for a family and friends function held at the beach. It was a lovely area. Lots of grass, a play area with park for children and a beach area which is roped off for swimming. The water was quite choppy that day as it was very windy but we still got out on the water in our canoe. There were a few boats out pulling people on folates and a few people on SUP's. Its a great area for family activities. There was a farmers marked located ion the parking lot up from the beach area. there are bathrooms and showers down in the day use area as well. I will warm the bathrooms did smell pretty bad but because they are plumbed in I believe it was something to do with sewage lines and not due to neglect. Overall great place and we will likely try camping here at some point at well!
