Possibility Playground

We love this playground. There are two sections, one for younger and one for older kids. Swings, sandbox, slides, and obstacles, all on the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. I feel comfortable playing with my son here, plenty of room for adults to chase around their fearless toddlers. The playground is also handicap accessible. There are usually lots of activities going on in the park that the playground is in(Upper Lake Park), like picnicking (BYO charcoal grills scattered throughout), exercise classes, and even a beer garden during the summer. Plus, there is plenty of parking. Pros: Accessible Great location Good variety equipment Located in a beautiful park Ample parking Restroom facilities on site Cons: Must cross a street from parking lot to playground

1860 Light Station

This period piece Lighthouse is fun with scenic views. One can either take stairs from the downtown or you can drive up to top and enter. Sometimes you may see a deer or two. The tour is worthwhile but not necessary if you visit other Museums in Port. Stairs are steep but with going (yes I don’t mind going up - but coming down is tricky). You will notice the other icon Lighthouse on the lake that you can walk too once downtown.

Great place to take a stroll for views of the marina, Lake Michigan and the sunset. There is an area to the south designated as a bird sanctuary. Dogs are not allowed in the sanctuary area.
