The earliest masterpiece of French Gothic architecture, a royal abbey and major pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages, the Basilica Cathedral assumed its principal role as the burial place for the kings of France as early as the 6th century. Despite being ransacked during the Revolution, the basilica houses over seventy royal tombs including those of Dagobert, François I, Catherine de Medicis and Louis XVI. The Basilica Cathedral of Saint-Denis, the burial place for the kings of France as early as the 6th century, is a magnificent architectural structure that has great historical significance and typifies the beauty of Paris' many churches. A visit does take one back in history and provides a sense of peace and tranquility. Truly a must visit for those who appreciate fine architecture, French history, and the beauty of Paris churches.

Amazing experience. Some of the high end antiques from the 17th century (art, funiture, etc.) could have been in the Louvre and I would have had no idea. Rush past those cheap vendors on the outskirts - there are amazing high and lower end antiques. Prices felt high - but really neat things. Vendors were friendly and engaging (and dropped prices when asked.) Had a delightful lunch at some great cafe in the interior - the aisles go on forever. Was recommended this for a rainy Sunday by a high end local friend who previously worked in the corporate office of Chanel (great style) - we loved it. Highly recommend.

If you have to stay in airport hotel and too short to go to the city but too long to just stay in your room then going to Aeroville is a recommended option. It has many stores, branded and locals also many good restaurant. It is so easy to reach from airport hotel as well as many bus route is stopping by. If you're moslem looking for halal restaurant, his mall has few choices. My recommendation is an Iranian restaurant that has great taste of grills of Lamb and Chicken. Shopping in Aeroville is awesome too, other than many stores, it has super big hypermarket as well. Unfortunately I think the mall is closed too soon. 8pm is the latest time and in summer it event not dark yet.
