A.S.D. Centro Equestre Posta Ruggiano del Gargano

Finding us immersed in the fascinating, unspoiled and unspoiled Gargano National Park, much of our association activity is geared towards country riding with several hours walks and one or more day treking. These activities are not confined to the more experienced riders, but also to the knights at the first experiences, offering everyone the opportunity to participate not only with their own horse, but also to hire the horses available to the association. Trekking is organized in all seasons, including the winter months, when more than a meter of snow covers the soil and the Gargano trees. Thanks to paths immersed in wild garganica nature, you will be able to experience unforgettable moments, in close contact with our horse friends and having every opportunity to know different locations including: the beauties of Bosco Quarto, the Umbrian Forest, the Lunar Mount Calvo, The surprising Monte Scrigno, and many others ... Trekking is organized during all seasons, including the winter, when you have the opportunity to cross and watch fantastic snowy terrains. • Walking on horseback for 2/3 hours: We will bring you to see rocky hills, caves and ancient dawn settlements, panoramic views; • Half day walks: In the heart of the Gargano National Park, walking through paths, mule tracks or among the trees, in search of exclusivity on the Gargano • Walk around the day: Woods and trails, nature, wildlife, shining vegetation and the history of the park ... from Wolves to Lupari ... from Briganti to Gentarmi ... between history and nature or the Giants of the Woods, with the possibility Lunch bag or light lunch at an EX Guardaboschi barracks; • Multi-day walks: We propose shrubs of cow horses or cows, or a ride across the Gargano from Manfredonia to Vieste, Lesina, Sannicandro and San Giovanni Rotondo;

We had a great trekking half day. Amazing landscape trekking through the forest and national park. Our guide was experienced and took care of the whole group although we had different riding experience. The horses are well trained and it was lovely to have 2 mares with foals with us. You need to be able to understand Italian or be a very experienced rider.
