Wendilee has a charming gallery and studio in Winter Harbor, Maine on the breathtakingly beautiful Schoodic Peninsula which is part of Acadia National Park, where she creates beautiful magic with her amazing artistic talents. Her studio is right on the main drag and is fronted by a whimsical garden and a wonderful rescue dog, Jack, who greets visitors. She has lived and worked in Japan and the techniques learned there inform some of her art, but there is a range of styles and formats to choose from. She also makes beautiful note cards that you'd be proud to send. She has a welcoming and ebullient personality and you shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet her, enjoy her gorgeous creations, and discuss her artistic processes. I have succumbed to the charms of her paintings on several occasions over many years and they are treasured parts of my home.

A few years back I went to the Big E and bought blueberry scrub, lotion, and lip balm for myself and my wedding party as a thank you gift, I fell in love with their product. Enough so that each year after, I went to the Big E specifically for their product. Let me tell you how incredibly excited I was that when we chose to take a day trip from Mount Desert Island to Schoonic Peninsula that this shop was literally right on the side of the road, just before the turn into the National Park. I probably sounded like a child on Christmas morning. There is a high likeliness I spent way too much money, but I purchased my blueberry scrub, my lotion and lip balm for myself, and then bought a bunch of smaller lotions for my friends and family for Christmas. We excitedly talked to the wonderful women who create and run this amazing shop, and now we know we can order online, I don’t have to worry about running out of my favorite products! Anyone, and everyone who like well made products, and support small businesses, please stop by this wonderful shop! You won’t be disappointed!

I have chronic lower back issues and it’s uncanny how Brandi knows exactly where to go to relieve the tense muscles. The end result is that after three sessions I am moving more and moving relatively comfortably. She also is terrific at identifying the underlying issues. I highly recommend her services!

The 5 and 10 is an incredible resource in the little adorable hamlet of Winter Harbor. To say they have everything would be an understatement. Pete Drinkwater has perfected the art of small town general store. The ultimate shopkeeper, he cut his teeth at Kresge's in Pennsylvania. An old black and white photo of Mr. Kresge keeps watch over this amazing store. Walking around and just checking out the variety of goods and essentials as well as souvenirs is tourist heaven. Many items are not only made in USA, but in Maine as well. Do yourself a favor in Americana and visit with true Mainers......Winter Harbor 5 &10. Astounding small town charm, convenience, and value.

We found a varied, thoughtfully curated selection of antiques, many of which were of nautical interest, an outstanding display of contemporary works of hand by local artists, stunning jewelry featuring natural stones, paintings, pottery, fiber creations, wood, leather, stained glass, and far too many other beautiful objects to list here. The proprietor was charming. This is a one-stop source for elegant holiday gifts and treasures to interest and enchant anyone who has good taste and appreciates artisanship and antiques.
