Having walked through the majestic main courtyard of the Royal Stables, you enter a disarming place of luxurious simplicity.Founded in 2003 by Bartabas inside the Royal Stables of the Palace of Versailles, the Academy of Equestrian Arts is a very unique corps de ballet.The originality of this equestrian choreographic school-company is, that it combines both transmission of equestrian knowledge and practice of other disciplines such as fencing, dance, singing and Kyudo (traditional Japanese archery). Through Les Matinales des Ecuyers, dressage lessons performed by the Academy’s riders with their mounts, demonstrating precision, rigor and gentleness of training, the public is invited to enter the intimacy of the Academy.
