6 Other Food & Drink in Florence That You Shouldn't Miss

October 4, 2021 Janean Rudisill

Florence is an art historian’s dream. The Galleria dell'Accademia bursts with works by Michelangelo, who is entombed within the frescoed walls of the Basilica di Santa Croce. Budding photographers can snap pics of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and serious shoppers can spend a blissful afternoon wandering the shops of Piazza Santo Spirito. Tuscan cuisine pays homage to the region’s bounty. Swipe a hunk of crusty bread across a pool of local olive oil and you’ll be instantly transported to your happiest place.

Dinner and cooking class presented and prepared by Kitchen Chez Nous was informative, relaxing and enjoyable. More than that both meals were excellent. They took time to explain various techniques and gave us tips to improve our Italian cooking. I'm excited to prepare the dishes for my family, especially traditional risotto - hint white wine is the key. I highly recommend these ladies they are the real Italian deal.

The restaurant is right next to the Duomo and looks very touristy (which it is) however the food is delicious. I have been to Florence many time over the past few years and will always make time for a quick pizza here. They are traditional, cheesy and delicious!

Fantastic range of buffet at a really cheap price. A drink plus unlimited buffet for 12 Euros - really good vibe too and the decor was quite eclectic - will definitely go again when we are next in Florence - it was recommended by our Air BnB hostess and we were delighted with it. An excellent Aperitivo with lots for everyone to enjoy - good choice of food including many vegetarian options.
