Antharagange Caves

Reviewed By MManohar26 - Bengaluru, India

Its mountain with boulders all around, and thus caves through that makes it interesting experience. One has to walk from Anthargange Temple to reach to caves, then its little difficult to find those in first visit. Kids will be around there to help you find route to caves with some charge. Nice experience. If you still have time then explore some more kind of small ruined fort or top point of Anthargange by walking some more distance from here.

Markandeya Hill

Reviewed By Manish-blr - Bengaluru, India

As part of kolar nature tour, from Bangalore, covering Avani Betta , Markendaya hills, Kaigal falls (best avoided by families), we had visited here on the independence day long weekend.it was drizzling that day and the weather was simply awesome to hold us back in bangalore. we took a break at Kammath's restaurant for breakfast and changed our plan to reach Markandeya hills first. Google maps was spot on, roads were in excellent condition mostly, till the point of starting climb to the hill. There are stairs at the base of the hill, if you want to use them instead. Couple of hair pin bends, no vehicles on that day except a bike and a taxi, so we had the complete place to ourselves. there are quite a few monkeys, so avoid keeping car windows wide open or carrying food. Unfortunately, the Temple did not open that day (opens 10-12), and we were there from 10.30-11. The views are messmerizing and there was so much of greenery due to rains. Very peaceful, pollution free and amazing place to visit if you are peace and nature lover.
