This is an amazing park, very well looked after by the council. It has a playground, fountain in a small lake, a hall, a cafe, a pets corner, toilets. Absolutely great for a walk, riding bikes or just enjoying the sun and fresh air.

Pets' Corner

Pet’s Corner is based in Astley Park. The Brothers of Charity Services manage Pets Corner as a social enterprise and it is open to the public every day of the week. It is situated next to the refreshment kiosk and children play areas (one of the most vibrant areas in the park). It houses giant rabbits, huge African tortoises, crazy chipmunks and many more animas.

Lots of animals to see that will interest young children and packs of feed are available. Opportunity to wash hands before leaving and simple explanations and names of the animals are on all the pens leading to familiarity with favourite animals on subsequent visits. Well run and a delightful addition to all that Astley Park offers to families.
