To think this underground home was hand dug by 3 women in the 60's & 70's was mind-blowing. The home is as Faye left it all those years ago with original furnishings and decor. Following a brief history given to us by Grant, the property caretaker, we were able to walk through at our leisure. We were offered a tour of Faye's mine on the property at a small additional cost. Well worth it. Grant's commentary was informative and gave a great understanding of what this amazing lady achieved during her time in Coober Pedy. Would highly recommend it!

Our passion is raising orphaned kangaroos and we offer you the opportunity to see these amazing creatures up close and maybe even hold a baby. Feeding times daily at 12 noon and 5:30pm. Local art, baby kangaroos and the most lovely owners. This place deserves a visit, if only to chat to the owners and hear all they do for the injured wildlife around here. Great work.

The Breakaways and driving the circuit are a definite must while in Coober Pedy. Magnificent formations and geological delights, coupled with the indigenous stories and the history of the Dingo fence make this a special excursion. Great at any time, but especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset - but take the Aeroguard!
