The County Cider Company

We grow apples and produce hard cider. Our retail store is housed in a renovated barn circa 1860. We offer tutored tasting flights of our ciders. Our retail store sells local products, as well as t-shirts, glassware, other gift items and lots of cider! Please book tasting appointments in advance via our website (groups of 8 or less, 19+). Dogs are welcome on leash.

Sadly we didn’t have reservations so we could only visit the store. It’s a must for next time. It was very busy so make sure you reserve in advance

Del-Gatto Estates

A beautiful country vineyard in Cape Vessey, just a stone's throw east of Waupoos on County Road 8. Family owned and operated, our 4th generation Italian winemaker crafts small batch premium wines from new World cool climate estate grown grapes using old World traditions. Our wines are distinctive. Reds are full bodied, flavourful and memorable. Our white and rose wines are aromatic and refreshing. Feel like you are a part of our Italian family when you sip-savour-enjoy our wines. Relax on our patio; listen to live music on weekend afternoons, and enjoy a glass of wine and sharing plate while you find your calm in vineyard views. Ci vediamo presto! [see you soon]

I visited Del Gatto in Sept 2020 with my boyfriend. We were seated outside under on their gorgeous arbour for wine tastings. There was soft, Italian music playing in the background and we were served by Wendy. Wendy was amazing and so attentive. She gave us a full history of Del Gatto Estates, and we learned what deep and rich roots run through through vineyard. She also gave us an amazing wine tasting experience and brought out each tasting individually with a full explanation of the wine. It was a fantastic experience and the setting was ethereal.

Cape Vineyards

Great unique winery. We tasted all available wines and were totally impressed. Michael gave us a brief history of the vineyard and we could tell he is very passionate about his wines. Needless to say, we left with a box of 12 bottles of wine. We will be back.

Waupoos Estates Winery

Waupoos Estates Winery sits majestically on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Lake Ontario in beautiful Prince Edward County. The Winery offers an array of wines at the Tasting room, shopping in the Boutique and Dining in the full service Gazebo Restaurant. The first vineyards were planted in the mid 90's. The new vines were allowed time to mature. Proudly opening the doors to the public in 2001 with the first vintage.

Waupoos Estates is a mainstay on the “County Outings” tours I lead in Prince Edward County. It was the first winery here and I knew the founder Ed Neuser. Now owned by the same company as Donini Chocolates and The Big Apple on Highway 401, the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Cassidy who speaks like a poet when describing the wines, and manager Amanda who always made my guests feel like VIP’s, no matter how crowded they were on a hot day! You will need 2 hours to see everything—stroll to the lakeshore, through the gardens, and (even adults) up to the barnyard / petting zoo.
