We are the only company that offers sunrise tours of Pacaya. There are several benefits of going during the sunrise. The first being that the rivers of lava can be seen best before the sun rises as the orange color of the lava usually gets dimmed once the sun comes out. The second, is that large tourist groups begin ascending the volcano at 8:00am and on busy days there can be up to 400 people atop Pacaya. The third reason to go to see the sunrise is that you'll be back in Antigua by 9:30am with plenty of time to catch other shuttles or spend the day discovering Antigua.

I had a great experience on El CA Express. I used them three times, Guatemala Airport - > Antigua, El Paredón - > Antigua, and Antigua - > the Airport. They were prompt with replies, willing to help and wait a few extra minutes for me when I landed and customs took longer than expected, cheap, easy to book, provided wifi, comfortable seats, and outlets at seats. I will use this shuttle service again when I return to Guatemala

This was a great way to relieve our designated driver for a day and so glad we opted for this tour. A lovely little hike to see Pacaya Volcano close-up, we were the first party to ascend that day and glimpsed some lava. The views from the top were well worth it and taking El Arenal route on the descent was an adventure. After the hike, the Kawilal Spa was just the ticket! We even had the whole area to ourselves due to the pandemic, so all felt very safe. The smoothie and lunch there were also very delicious. Could have done with a tad more direction at times, but all part of the fun!

I have used Helmuth and his team several times for trips from the airport as well as tours in and around Antigua. Whie he may be a bit more expensive than some others, it is worth it. The drivers are on time and the rides are always comfortable and safe. his tour guides are knowledgeable and always speak English as well as Spanish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helmuth for any of your travel plans in and around Antigua and other parts of Guatemala.

Avoid this company! I fell very ill the day of the tour. I was aware of the cancellation policy. I had a high fever, headache and was concerned about my exposure to Covid. I text the company and asked could I reschedule for next month since the tour was 100 US dollars. They were kind enough to agree. I picked up another Guatemala to do the tour. After many texts, they were happy to take me on the tour. Then I received a message asking me for more money. It would be 200 US dollars for a three hour tour. We had established I would be back and they seemed happy to make up for lost time. I wanted to be cautious due to Covid. I have gone on tours all over the world. India, Peru, Columbia, NYC and Rome to name a few. This seemed suspicious. Save your money.
