A small group (4) of us had the please of staying at Pousada Castelo Óbidos on our way from Porto to Alvor in the Algarve. Service was excellent and everyone made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was in their restaurant which was a lovely location. Selection of food and quality was great. Tomas was very helpful during check-in and check-out. The lady who checked us into the hotel was also very helpful and made a reservation at a great restaurant for us.

We loved this hotel as it was modern, very clean, quiet (only 28 rooms) and a good location 10 minute walk to the center of Angra. Free parking was always available right outside the main entrance. The staff was exceptional and treated us like family. A big thank you to front desk staff Fermanda and Sergio as well as hotel restaurant worker Nunu.

Our stay at Pousada Mosteiro dao Crato, was everything we were hoping for. Imagine wondering around portions of a medieval castle, that you can comftorably stay at. The room had a wonderful picture window looking out to the countryside. The food was great, and of course the staff's hospitality was second to none.

What a gem!

We found this special hotel by accident and it was truly wonderful! From the minute we walked into this castle we were in awe. In fact we booked a 2nd night before looking at our room! The location was peaceful with magnificent views. Breakfast in the terrace was just lovely and I actually could have sat out there for hours enjoying the views and the sunshine. Christine the owner so so sweet and made us feel so welcome. We had the tower room which was so different and special. And I dare say romantic! The pool was perfect to relax and take a dip in the afternoon. We ate a few different restaurants in the area that were recommended and we enjoyed all of them! I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. Cant wait to return!
