Sirimane Falls

Reviewed By chirakusuma

We visited In february 2020 and had a great experience. I dont think its open now. There is no KSRTC bus facility to reach Sirimane waterfalls, but there is a bus to Kigga which you can board from Sringeri and then you can walk 5 kms, but this is not quite opted. Hiring a private vehicle(4 wheeler, again 2 wheeler not suggested) from Sringeri for to and fro is the best option suggested by locals too as the road to watefalls is kind of deserted and not very smooth. Our hotel receptionist guided us in right way and after visiting Sringeri Sharadamba temple we headed to Sirimane waterfalls.water was not deep and was pretty safe for non-swimmers

Kigga is located between Sringeri and Sirimane Falls. Amongst the locals the Rishyasringa Swamy temple is more famous than the sirimane falls. Its a wide believe that it will rain the day after the famous Kigga Jaatre.
