Good food and spa facilities - but unclear sauna rules
Reviewed By Jes CWe spent a 3 day mini-holiday here in December and thoroughly enjoyed it. Located in Germany right on the Danish border with neighboruring border shops it is easy to get to and parking is ample. Both dinner and breakfast buffets are rich on choice and offer delicious food. Service is polite and friendly. Decor in restaurant classic and comfortable. Rooms are rather not big but functional. The inside and outside pools are great as are the two stream baths and 2 saunas and the jaccuzzi. An excellent place to relax and wind down. Location only 15 minutes drive from beautiful Flensborg where be enjoyed the Christmas market. Our only real issue was a rude Danish man in the nude sauna who scolded us for not taking off our swimsuits. It would be good if it was clearly advertised if it is directly forbidden to wear swimsuits in this otherwise spacy and comfortable sauna so that busybuddies like him could not throw us out of the sauna. There are a whole range of reasons why not everybody can shed their clothing entirely.

Reviewed By PerLundHansenWe stayed two nights and aporeciated the very good sea view and nice atmosphere at the hotel. The checkin was pleasent by very service minded and smiling receptionist. Room was clean and fine. We had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel which can be recommended. We had the 8 course gourmet dinner with wine menu. This was extremely good - a very high level of food, wine and the waiter really did a lot to make it a good experience. All in all 5 big stars.

Reviewed By elb0fujairahWhen we need a little holiday, we go to Strand Residenz Wasserleben. It is close to Flensburg and to a nice beach. The rooms is fine and there is a little kitchen so you can coke your own food. And if you want to go out to eat - there is two restaurants near by. A place we often return to for a little holiday. You can go for a walk in the forrest too.
