Nice location but dreadfully run down motel
Reviewed By Garry PI thought the room was very clean but it is dreadfully run down. It smelled like one would imagine an old hotel room with worn out carpet, a stained/mildewed bathroom, would smell like. My wife was really turned off by the conditions but I kept telling her that I felt like it was clean nonetheless. On the other hand, it is a very convenient location with pretty views of downtown and the mountains in the distance. They really need to update some things because we probably wouldn't stay there again.

Reviewed By BMJJRWe were part of a large family/group that was in town for a funeral. The team at this hotel could not have been nicer or made us feel more at home. From the front desk, to housekeeping to the maintenance crew.....everyone at this hotel was so friendly and accommodating. They let our family gather in the breakfast room in the evening which worked out perfect. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and came with refrigerators (I have included a photo of our room with this review). The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and they were helpful with dining recommendations (lots of restaurants close to the hotel).

Reviewed By denisesA5149MMI would give zero stars if i could!! This facility refused entrance of a service dog. After I explained that it was against the law, she acknowledged that but still refused entrance. Do not give this place your money.

We are a family-owned and operated lodging icon. Whether you are staying for a romantic getaway, a peaceful respite after a long week, or are seeking new hiking trails, Misty Mountain is the perfect place for you. Experience nature's gift of rest and renewal as you vacation, explore, and cabin within the heart of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, North Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Appalachian Trail. After your stay, we hope you leave feeling energized and ready to Trail On. For Inn patrons, full breakfast is served on Saturdays and some holiday weekends from 8 to 8:30. On Sundays, guests will be served a hearty continental (plus) breakfast with coffee, juice, meat and a delicious pastry, again from 8 to 8:30. During most weekdays, a voucher will be provided to each guests for a breakfast sandwich from a local coffee shop.

Reviewed By mariecC9760NKWe were in Blairsville during the Christmas holidays and noticed Misty Mountain Inn and Cottages on our shopping trip. We stopped by and met Bill and Sarah the owners/hosts who were very kind to take a few minutes out of their busy schedule to chat. After some emails we decided on visiting in January during the low season. The pre arrival emails were very helpful. We initially stayed in the Rose cottage which was quaint and cozy. A few days later we booked the Nest cottage which was a bit roomier with a loft area. My husband mentioned to Bill during the move that I was feeling under the weather and a short time later he gave my husband a kettle and a small assortment of teas, which we both agreed was very thoughtful. We also booked a cottage for my husband’s brother’s family. The hosts notified us of a severe winter storm warning for the area the day before with an information sheet on how to prepare in case of a power outage and offered firewood and to notify them if we needed anything such as extra blankets. The day of the storm Bill came around to ensure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything during the power outage. He offered power banks to our 16 year old niece and extra firewood at no charge. Bill and Sarah are the best hosts ever and really know what they are doing to ensure you feel safe, comfortable and welcome at Misty Mountain. We will definitely tell others about our phenomenal experience here and we will be back again for sure!
