At Benlea Sheep and Cattle Farm Tours we can take up to seven people in our comfortable 4WD vehicle for a customised and informative tour of our working farm including morning or afternoon tea. You can also meet the pet sheep or wander around our beautiful large country garden. Price per adult NZ$100, children (3 - 14) $50. Tours for bus groups can also be arranged at great group rates. Our trip to Cathie and Sam's farm was absolutely one of the highlights of our 2-week, 2-island NZ tour. Their whole family shares their knowledge of farming and animals as you move through different landscapes with both sheep and cattle. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves nature, learning, animals, the outdoors and dogs. Beautiful views from the farm, too. Scones and fresh cream at the end! Yum. Tip: the petrol/gas stations in the area are automated to cards most travellers won't have. Arrive with some gas in the tank.
