Seldovia Fishing Adventure

Reviewed By EnBee60 - Anchorage, Alaska, United States

Enjoyed a comfortable, friendly stay at the Seldovia Fishing Adventures B&B after a scenic passage over on the Seldovia Ferry. The host and hostess are very friendly and we were welcomed with home baked cookies. The B&B is situated downstairs from the main living quarters and consists of three bedrooms, a small common living/dining area and a small outdoor deck overlooking the bay. One bedroom has an en suite and the other bedrooms each have their own bathroom, but outside in the hallway. Breakfast was a large amount of food: sausage, eggs, pancakes with bacon, coffee and juice. The deck affords a wonderful view of the water, eagles, otters and lots of ravens! Fishing was plentiful, but not too many big ones. Our captain really needs a deck hand - too much going on for one guy to manage. We needed more lines in the water when the fish were biting, but it was a good time. Glorious weather and we came home with our fish filleted and vacuum packed. We plan to go again and can recommend this company to others heading to Seldovia.

We rented kayaks from Kbay while on our Anniversary stay in Seldovia. Paddling the slough is an absolute must and Kbay was there to make it happen. Very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend!

Salmon Annie is a delightful young lady with strong character and determination. She offers a trip or trips on her little boat across Seldovia Bay to her string of set nets. There you help pull the nets and untangle Salmon, one of which is yours to keep. The boat goes out several times a day. You can participate on each trip for the day. Her shop has smoothies and healthy snacks. The business is a family affair offering personal attention.

I took The Ultimate Tour, and it exceeded my expectations. It ranks among the best of my outdoor adventures, and I've had many. Also, Aria was a great guide. I can't say enough good things about her. I highly recommend True North to anyone visiting Homer.

We have kayaked with Seaside Adventure on two occasions and have thoroughly loved both times. Rick and Dorla are amazing: warm, friendly, knowledgable, and welcoming. Not only did we spend the day kayaking in beautiful Alaska, but we gained a wealth of knowledge about the plants and animals and natives who once inhabited the area. We stop for lunch on a beach and they prepare salmon soup after we pick the greens on a short hike. Although I don't like salmon, the others with me said it was delicious. I highly recommend this kayak trip if you want more than just the exercise.
