This museum is located in a tiny town of Sastamala but if you happen to be in Tampere area it's really worth the effort to make a trip here. The exhibition is very well made and it appeals to both old and young. One of the best items is a giant book that you can literally crawl through!

Stone Castle of Pirunvuori

Reviewed By SoBe8889 - Espoo, Finland

I have been here a few times over the years and every time the nature here amazes me with its' beauty. The Pirunvuori (Devil's mountain) area is so beautiful and the Stone Castle of artist Danielson is quite unique. The castle was built of rocks over 100 years ago and it still stands proudly in the forest and one could still live there during summer time, if you do not mind that you do not have a toilet or running water. The artist used to paint in this spot - and I do not blame him for choosing this area, as its' beauty never stops to impress me and surely also its' other visitors. I warmly recommend the walk from Vuorihotelli (formerly known as Ellivuori) to Pirunvuori. Take mosquito repellant with you, if you come here in the summer.
