Just not impressed by the fake kitschy sweet atmosphere. Just a little on the too much HeeHaw country sweetness for my taste.
One person working the cash register right next to exit door out, 5 people in line to pay for lunches blocking door. Couldn't get out of this place fast enough. All were older folks. This place seems popular with the 65+ year olds.

Not my kinda place. But hey, if kitschy, hee-haw, your grandmother's Bible club, is your kind of place ... knock yourself out.

Personally I'd have more fun at the dentist.

Lasting Legacy Wildlife Museum

We were delighted to find this place yesterday after having visited Ritzville many times. This taxidermy museum is wonderful! The many animal and bird specimens were from all over the world. The exhibits ranged from huge elephants down to tiny weasels. The habitats were very realistic and artfully done, displaying what their native surroundings might look like. Children will love it as well as adults. We had a partial personal tour by the museum curator and his wife. They are a very sweet couple! We enjoyed every minute of the two hours that we visited there. There is a small shop you can purchase items from around the world afterwards. The discovery of this special museum was truly like finding a hidden jewel. Enjoy!

Ritzville Carnegie Library

The library is about the only thing in this town that's been well maintained. The rest of the downtown needs paint, repairs and rebuilds. You can tell at one time this was a cute little town. Nice old fashioned small American town architectural features. Unfortunately just about everything is run down, tired and in a state of disrepair.

The library is a small gem shinning through only because it's apparently kept maintained unlike the rest of the town.

West Plains Skydiving

I have been away from Skydiving for a few years (7). Wanting to get back into it I found this DZ near Spokane. Gave it a try and was very happy with my choice. The instrcuctors spent good time with me and made sure I was safe to jump again. I went through he refresher course and then jumped with Lee, one of the jump instructors.

The location is about 1 hour from Spokane. great area to jump with open spaces and multiple alternate landing spots. The plane was well kept and comfortable.

The BEST part of it was the environment, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. From the manager to the instructors, manifest and the tandem guys. Wonderful people.

The packing area is spacious and comfortable, good bathrooms

Very close to gas stations, food and a Starbucks in the next exit.

Well, overall I had a great experience and will make this my DZ.
