Etty bay presents as one of the greatest locations to occupy the family on weekends and holidays. A great spot with bathroom facilities as well as a convenience store with a decent feed of fiah and chips. Highly recommend.

Mamu Tropical Skywalk

Take a walk in the clouds in Wooroonooran National Park just 15 minutes out of Innisfail. Elevated walkways, a cantilever, and observation tower offer visitors the exhilarating experience of being high in the rainforest canopy, along with providing spectacular panoramic views of World Heritage rainforest landscapes. The Mamu Tropical Skywalk allows visitors to explore the rainforest from the forest floor to the canopy, in comfort and safety. The Skywalk passes through one of the largest-remaining continuous stands of complex vine forest on basalt soils in the Wet Tropics. Enjoy close-up views of rainforest plants, insects and birds, and take in sweeping vistas. Information signs tell of the rainforest's complex web of life and the rich culture and history of the area.

This is definitely worth a visit. The elevated walkway and observation tower gives you a very different view of the Queensland rainforest. This leisurely cruise takes you along the beautiful calm waters of the Johnstone River, where our guides take you for a closer look at the mangroves and wildlife, such as snakes or birds, that live on the banks of the river. You will also experience a close up of the abundant river life such as fish, turtles or even the chance of spotting a cassowary. We have a very keen eye for spotting our fellow crocodile friends in their natural habitat. They will either be lurking beneath the waters or sunning themselves on the sandbanks. Either way it is a spectacular sight! These animals are all unique to the wet tropics and can be mostly spotted all year round. The best chance for spotting wild salt water crocodiles in their natural habitat is during low tide, in the mornings and from May to September. Night time is prime time for crocodiles to begin hunting, so this tour is not to be missed for those interested in seeing and listening to how crocodiles hunt in their natural habitat. Experiencing wild caught mud crabs and guided walks along a secluded beach is also on the agenda. During our boat cruise, our tour guides will check crab pots in the hope of seeing wild caught mud crabs, together with explaining their general features and their habitat. These mud crab’s claws are very powerful and customers can see just how powerful their claws are through a live demonstration. Take a walk along a secluded beach located in a world heritage area comprising of the wet tropics and cassowary habitat. very clean & tidy , nice staff , no fee to enter except if open to 5am, drinks well price, opens at 10 pm have a quite drink , party time starts around the witching hour ok , over my life i have partied in some of the biggest nite clubs as a regular , well rumors has been the most fun , everyone IS friendly,never seen a fight,tables are keep cleared of bottles & glasses the DJ DJ is not a dance floor killer knows his job well & will mix on the spot (even nick skitz dj one nite wow) people from all over the world party there. what can i say about the bar staff their got me spenting you know what i mean ,you bloke know what i mean , ok i've been in the tourism for over 15 years(retired now) , look come & enjoy , best party, friday nights tech but it could turn in to tech r&b or what ever,great work DJ , i'm a old fool from the old school i have fun , even when just drinking & chatting,saturday night my be a bit different music but who knows where the DJ takes you ,door men great they don't grunt at you like some place ,nice blokes, look come & enjoy ,but be warned if there to drink & listen & you stand up & start moving some nice woman will take your hand & led you on to the dance floor & you won't leave it ok, 18+ ok & it's safe to walk home at 3 am , top place top town
