The Siemens company maintains this small (20-something room) hotel primarily for visiting employees or executives, but when not filled with their people it is available to the public. We visited over the New Years holidays when no one other than our party of eight was staying there. They generously gave us four of the largest rooms, all of which are appointed in period furniture and decorations. The only complaint about the rooms themselves is the silliness of the tiny shower "area" which is denoted by swinging glass doors that "sorta" make an enclosure. Like many European hotel showers, water ends up everywhere. Otherwise the beds were quite comfortable and everything was clean -- and roomy! The wifi was down during our visit -- hallelujah! Vacations should be exposed to as little wifi as possible. Also, the facility was completely unattended due to the holidays, but we were provided with easy self-check-in instructions. A variety of breakfast goodies was left for us in the kitchen and fridge, including yogurt, cheese, ham, bread, butter, orange and apple juice, and the sophisticated coffee machine would automatically make every type of coffee drink you can imagine. The common area is beautifully appointed, very comfortable, and a great place to sit and visit. The grounds of the adjacent palace (now offices, I think?) are a great place to stroll about with a rushing stream on each side of the promenade. It would be worth a trip out of your way to stay here.
