Espace Rebeyrolle is a contemporary structure in a medieval village....That in itself is worth a visit. The museum represents and pays homage to an Eymoutiers famous son and acclaimed artist...Paul Rebeyrolle! The canvasses and the sculptures are grand in scale. The angst and turmoil of the later 1900's is well-represented!! Well worth a visit.

This is one of our 'local attractions' which we have visited before and again for this review. It's a popular venue for a local 'medeival re-enactment group' who hold an annual exibition here. Founded in 1012 the current gothic building was errected on the site of the original monastary and I seem to recall on a previous visit, that this is a cathedral. A 32 page French language booklet detailing the history is available inside for €3.00. The setting is relaxed with tables from the local coffee shop placed outside under the trees.
